مِنْ بَابِ فَاطِمَ بِنْتِ الْمُصْطَفى آتِيْ
إِلى النَّبِيِّ لِيَقْضِي كُـلَّ حَـاجَّـاتِيْ
From the door of Fāṭima I arrive,
Before the Prophet r so he fulfils my needs.
بِنْتُ الشَّفِيْعِ وَأُمُّ الْأَحْسَنَيْنِ لَنَا
نِعْمَ الْوَسِيْـلَةُ فِي شَتَّى الْمُهِــمَّاتِ
Daughter of the Intercessor, mother of Hasanayn,
Our eminent intermediary for all needs.
فُضْلَى النِّسِاءِ وَمِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِسَاءِ كَذَا
أُمُّ الْأَئِمَّةِ مِــنْ أَزْكَى السُّلَالَاتِ
Most superior woman, from the Masters of the Cloak,
Mother of the Imams, from the purest bloodline.
آلُ النَّبِيِّ كِرَامُ الْأَصْلِ مَنْ قُرِنُوْا
بالْوَحْيِ سُفْنُ النَّجَا عِنْدَ الْمُلِمَّاتِ
The Prophet’s family: noble in descent linked to the Qurʾān.
˹They are˺ the arks of salvation in every storm.
إِنْ جِئْتَ لِلْحَضْرَةِ الْفَيْحَاءِ فَأْتِ لَهَا
واشْخَصْ لِمَنْزِلِهَا الْمَعْمُوْرِ بِالذَّاتِ
When attending the generous court, visit her too,
Presenting yourself before her sacred house.
وَزُرْ ضَرِيْحًا بِجَنَّاتِ الْبَقِيْعِ حَوَى
سِرَّ الْأُمُـوْمَةِ تَحْظَـى بِالْعَطِيَّاتِ
In heavenly Baqīʿ, visit her grave, which brims,
With motherhood’s secret; you will obtain bounties.
وَخَاطِبِ الرُّوْحَ إِنَّ الرُّوْحَ حَاضِرِةٌ
وَاشْرَحْ لَهَا الْحَالَ فِيْ إِخْلَاصِ نِيَّاتِ
Address her soul, for it is present,
Sincerely, confessing your state to her.
يَا بَضْعَةَ الْمُصْطَفى قُوْمِيْ بِحَاجِتِنَا
عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ لِنَحْـظَى بِالْمُرَادَاتِ
˹Say˺, Dear piece of Muṣṭafā! Raise our requests,
To the Prophet r so that they are granted.
وَاسْتَعْطَفِيْهِ لَنَا إِنَّـا بِسَاحِتِكُمْ
صِفْرُ الْيَدَيْنِ بِلَا مَـاضٍ وَلَا آتِ
Seek his mercy for us, as we stand in your vicinity,
With empty hands—without any claims whatsoever.
شَاهَـتْ قَوَالِبُنَا مِـنْ سُـوْءِ حَالَتِنَا
يَا ضَيْعَةَ العُمْرِ مِنْ شِكْوَايَ حَالَاتِيْ
Our poor inner states have marred our outer forms.
I have wasted my life ˹merely˺ complaining of this.
مَنْ لِيْ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيْ مِنْكُمُ سَنَدٌ
فِيْ مُغْرِقِ الْيَمِّ يَوْمَ الْعَاصِفِ الْعَاتِيْ
To whom do I turn if you do not lend support,
When I am drowning on that violent, stormy Day
يَوْمَ انْعِقَادِ اللِّوَا وَالناسُ فِيْ هَرَجٍ
تَرْجُو الشَّفَاعَةَ مِنْ أَهـْلِ الشَّفَاعَاتِ
Day of the raised banner when humanity will panic,
Begging intercessors for their intercession.
وَالْكُلُّ نَفْسِيْ نَفْسِيْ لَسْتُ أَهْلًا لَهَا
حَتَّى يَجِيْءَ لَهَا خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّــاتِ
But all will reply: Myself! Myself![4] I am unworthy of it.
Until the best of mankind emerges to ˹rightfully˺ claim it!
مَحْقُوْقُهَا الْحَامِدُ الْمَحْمُوْدُ مَنْ عُقِدَتْ
لَهُ الشَّفَاعَةُ مِنْ قَبْـلِ النُّبُــوَّاتِ
The praising, praised, who was promised
Intercession before all other prophets.
اِشْفَعْ تُشَفَّعْ وَسَـلْ نُعْطِيْكَ مَرْتَبَةً
مَا حَازَ رُتْبَتَهَا أَهْلُ الرِّسَالَاتِ
“Intercede, it will be accepted, and ask,
For We gave you a rank unattained by other messengers.”
وَيَرْبَحُ الْمُخْلِصُوْنَ الْبَيْعَ سَاعَتَهَا
وَيَشْفَعُوْنَ عَلَى قَدْرِ الْوَجَاهَاتِ
The sincere servants will reap the profits of their trade,
And intercede according to their respective ranks.
وَتَدْخُلِيْنَ بِأَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ قَاطِبَةً
مَعَ الْمُحِبِّيْنَ فِيْ شَوْقٍ لِجَنَّاتِ
You will then enter Paradise with the Ahl al-Bayt,
Taking with you those who deeply love you.
فَاسْتَذْكِرِيْنِيِ غَدَاةَ الْبَيْنِ وَافْتَقِدِي
رَهِيْنَ ذَنْبٍ أَسِيرًا فِيْ الْغِوَايَاتِ
Remember me in that commotion and free
This sinner, fettered by his carnal whims.
وَحَقِّقِيْ لِيْ بِمَحْضِ الْفَضْلِ مَقْرَبَةً
مِن سَيَّدِ الخَلْقِ في أعلى المَقَامَاتِ
Then kindly, secure for me: a place near
The master of creation, in the highest stations,
وَسَتْرَ عْيبِي وإيوائي جِوارَكمُ
وَوَالِدَيَّ وأَهـْــلِيْ والقَرَاباتِ
A cover for my sins, and a shelter in your vicinity.
Likewise for my parents, family, relatives,
وَمَنْ يَلِينِي من الأبنـاءِ قاطبةً
وَإخْوَتي وكذا أهْــلُ المَوَدَّاتِ
All children who are kind to me,
My siblings, the people of love,
وَسَيِّدِيْ شَيْخِ هَذَا الْعَصْرِ قُدْوَتِنَا
مِفْتَاحِ بَابِ الرِّضَا فِيْ كُلِّ أَوْقَاتِيْ
And my master and leader, the guide of this era,
The key to Allah’s pleasure in every moment.
يا بَضْعَةَ المصطفى يا مَن بنِسبَتِها
تَشَرَّفَ الفَرْعُ عَنْ كُلِّ السُّلالاتِ
Dear piece of Muṣṭafā, because of you,
Your descendants are distinguished among all lineages.
عَبْدٌ على الباب يَرْجو حَمْلَ حاجَتِهِ
إلى النَّبيَّ لِيحْظَـى بالرِّعاياتِ
A servant stands at your door, hoping you will
Take his appeal to the Prophet r so it is realised.
وتَسْتَجِيبُ دَوَاعي الفَيْضِ مَسْألَتي
ويَأتيَنِّي بشِيرِي بالبِشاراتِ
The gracious outpour accepts my request,
My harbinger brings me the good news,
ويَصْلُحُ الشَّانُ كلُّ الشانِ في عَجَلٍ
دِينًا ودُنيا وتَحْقِيقًا لِغاياتِ
And my affairs of faith and life are fixed,
Brining all my aims to fruition.
مِن حيثُما كُنْتُ في ذاتِ الإله عَسَى
أَحْيا بنُور الرِّضا في كُلِّ حالاتي
Despite my standing with Allah, perhaps He will
Enliven all my moments with His pleasure’s light.
ويَنْجُزُ الوَعْدُ مِن قُطْبِ الزَّمانِ لنا
بالفتحِ والمَنْحِ في أحلى أُوَيقاتي
Perhaps the Qutb will fulfil his promise to us
Of openings and spiritual boons soon.
ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى الْهَادِيْ وَعِتْرَتِهِ
مِنْ آلِ بَيْتِ رَسُوْلِ اللهِ سَادَاتِيْ
Prayers be upon the Guide r and his offspring,
My masters from the Prophet’s household.
كَذَا الصَّحَابَةُ أَهْلُ الفَضْلِ كُلُّهُمُ
وَخُصَّ لَيْثَ الْوَغَى عَيْنَ الْعِنَايَاتِ
And upon his Companions—the virtuous folk,
Especially the roaring lion, the essence of bounties,
بَابَ الْعُلُوْمِ عَلِيَّ الْحَبْرَ حَيْدَرَنَا
لِأُلْفَةِ الْبَضْعَةِ الزَّهْرَا مُنَاجَاتِيْ
The door to knowledge, ʿAlī the learned, our Ḥaydar.
My prayers are for the love of al-Zahrāʾ,
وَلِلْتِيْ بَذَلَتْ فِي اللهِ مَغْنَمَها
أُمُّ البَتُوْلِ لَهَا أَزْكَى التَّحِيَّاتِ
Her mother who sacrificed her wealth
For Allah’s sake—purest greetings be to her—
والغَوْثِ والقُطْبِ والأبدالِ كُلِّهِم
وحارسِ البابِ مِن أهلِ الولاياتِ
The Ghawth, Quṭb, Abdāl, all of them,
And the saintly guardian of the door.
